Bloomingdale Bites III

The Columbus-Amsterdam Business Improvement District (BID) hosted its third Bloomingdale Bites neighborhood food tasting on October 9, 2025 in partnership with Hostelling International, the W 104th St Block Association, the W 102nd & 103rd Sts Block Association, and the Upper West Side Cinema Center (UWSCC). This event featured local eats from six restaurants within the BID: Verdello, Dive 106, Calaveras Corner, La Constancera, Miss Mamie’s Spoonbread Too, and Saiguette. Highlights included Dominican sushi from La Constancera, fried catfish from Miss Mamie’s, and shrimp dumplings from Saiguette. Approximately 100 guests attended to sample these dishes and play a round of trivia hosted by Dive 96’s own Gillian Russo with movie-themed questions created by the UWSCC that covered UWS movie theaters, movie stars from the neighborhood, and movies filmed on the UWS. Winners Aaron and Marysol were awarded two tickets each to a future UWSCC screening and a $100 gift card to the participating restaurant of their choice, Calaveras Corner. It was a great night for our BID restaurants and guests, and we can hardly wait for next year’s event!
